Long hot days, with the grapes ripening on the vines. Leaves are plucked to let the sun in, then the nets go on to keep the birds out.

Christmas and New Year
What better time to get out of the city. Base yourself at Martinborough Village Camping over the holiday season and you can enjoy all that the Wairarapa has to offer.
Tauherenikau Races
Start the New Year with a country horse racing experience, 2012 date tbc but usually the 2nd Jan.
Meandering Vineyard Lunch
2012 event tbc, usually on the Saturday of Wellington Anniversary weekend from 10.30am to 5.30pm. Meet the winemakers and vineyard owners as you travel by bus to a number of vineyards with food, wine and entertainment at each stop.
Martinborough Fairs
Held on the first Saturday of February and March, these are the largest craft fairs in Australasia.
TK Summertimes
Relax at TK after the fair with a line up of jazz and blues. Free entry.
